Johann Nepomuk Hummel: Trumpet Concert: (Arr. Norman Richardson): Trompete mit Begleitung

Hummel's Trumpet concerto is certainly one of the more well known and popular works in the trumpet repertoire. This is a beautifully lyrical piece, with many memorable melodies and sonorous harmonies.

This version has been arranged for B flat Trumpet with Piano Accompaniment and has been edited by Norman Richardson. Where many piano (or orchestral) reductions can literally be a reduced orchestral score rather than a properly devised accompaniment, this piano part has been carefully voiced so as to be performable. This piece will provide an enjoyable challenge for both the trumpeter and pianist alike.
